Some of the links below appear elsewhere in this website within the appropriate sections(e.g., Bone Integrity, pain management, etc.) They are repeated here as another way of accessing the information. Links are always a "WORK IN PROGRESS."

A suggested website for some basic "cancer" information is Steve Dunn's Cancer Guide at http://cancerguide.org.  "The possibilities are infinitely greater than the averages" and use Cancer Guide "When you need the right questions."

Activism & News for/on Prostate Cancer

I'm not sure how much activism advanced or hormone refractory patients get involved in, but there are a wealth of opportunities available to lobby/advocate for more research money for hormone refractory prostate cancer. An editorial by Nicholas Vogelzang, in the Journal of Clinical Oncology, Vol. 14, No. 6, June 1996, pp. 1753-1754, entitled "One Hundred Thirteen Men With Hormone-Refractory Prostate Cancer Died Today" should be a call for action. Virtually all men who die of prostate cancer die from the hormone refractory prostate cancer stage.
